I don't know all the pros and cons of using or obtaining various types of reusable straws with comparison to single-use straws, but these inexpensive options may be worth considering if you think they might help lessen waste on your part.
Perhaps mindful fast food restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, and other such establishments should consider starting to move away from single-use straws as well and think about selling something like these to customers who don't bring their own. This should maybe come after a period of warning customers about the change followed by not giving straws by default/only upon request and then finally making the big change. Like the bag ban/fee thing, it won't be a smooth change without any backlash along the way but it could be a rewarding one, both profit-wise and environmentally.
