Trying to silence my brain to sleep, I think I may have just realized something I should've figured out a long time ago: your significant other can't complete you. We all have to complete ourselves. If we're lucky, our complete selves can be shared and celebrated with, even complimentary to, the ones we love.
By "complete", I mean who you are and want to be at the given point in time. This should change somewhat over time as you grow but hopefully you'll find yourself fortunate enough to grow in a direction that harmonizes with those you want to surround yourself with.
Not trying to spew profound-sounding bs or anything but this just popped into my very tired head and feels important, perhaps just because I'm working with limited intelligence. I dunno. I guess I should sleep..
